Have you Heard? Does Sound Processing Influence Adjustments Webinar
11 June @ 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm AEST
Free - $99.00

This Webinar considers how auditory processing may influence, and be influenced by, the type of cortical stimulation that a chiropractic adjustment can deliver. We will review the neurology of auditory processing, the areas of the brain and CNS most vulnerable to dysregulation, and the potential effects of cortical-somatic sensory integration in this context.
We will discuss patient assessment: signs and symptoms of auditory processing dysregulation (hyperacusis, vigilance, inattention, arousal, comprehension & memory challenges) and debate whether it may be possible to influence central neurological integration to impact auditory processing, through theoretical discussion of two hypotheses.
-
Auditory pathways of the nervous system and the interplay between these and proprioceptive / vestibular mapping, and central integration of sound and movement
-
Factors that contribute to auditory overstimulation
-
Potential options for adjusting the sensory auditory environment for patients, and WHY this may be important
-
Considerations for chiropractic adjusting within a strategic auditory environment
Time: 8:30pm – 9:30pm AEST
