In everyday chiropractic practice, assessment often centres on spinal mechanics and structural findings. While essential, this can sometimes miss valuable information about how a patient’s nervous system is coping with stress and organising balance, proprioception and movement.
In this practical, interactive session, Dr Sara Winchester shares her favourite muscle testing and neuro-muscular “gems”— simple, time-efficient assessments that offer deeper clinical insight without adding complexity. Participants will experience hands-on testing including popliteus muscle testing, single-leg balances, Fukudas,, and single-leg standing hip flexor testing, Lumbar disc correlation with Ileocecal Valve and explore how changes in these tests can reflect foot proprioception, pelvic control, sitting patterns, digestion and overall nervous system adaptability.
This session is designed to broaden clinical thinking beyond spinal mechanics, helping chiropractors see familiar presentations through a different and highly practical lens.
Time: 6:30pm to 9:00pm – Includes Dinner
