Connect and Learn Launceston
28 February @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm AEDT
Free
The topic of discussion for the afternoon will be “Eye Tracking and Postural Indicators in Head and Spinal Trauma”, catch up with local colleagues, and meet ACA Eastern Region Manager Cheryl Jendrachowski.
Sandy will discuss key research and introduce practical ways to assess postural repositioning, helping uncover hidden trauma-related body patterns.
Along with how to assess for concussion type injuries through eye movement and postural changes, why assess standing versus supine. Discuss what is an ascending fault versus a descending fault and why is ascending or descending important in treatment.
After the learning, join us for food and beverages where the conversation and good times will continue. It’s going to be a perfect afternoon of knowledge and networking.
Time: 2:00pm to 5:00pm

- Biography
Dr Sandy Clark graduated from RMIT in 1998 and spent more than 21 years in private solo practice running his Brisbane clinic. Following two decades of clinical work, he chose to make a change, selling his practice and completing a Master’s degree in Applied Epigenetics, with a focus on traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury assessed through eye movement and postural changes.
Sandy’s career has consistently centred on paediatrics and neurological assessment. Through long-term clinical observation, he identified eye and body movement patterns in infants that were later evident in adults with a range of injuries. These observations became the foundation of both his clinical approach and postgraduate research.
Now based in Launceston with his midwife partner and their three-year-old, Sandy is committed to supporting the local community and sharing practical, clinically relevant insights with fellow practitioners.
