Join us for an evening of Mentorship & Mastery, which will be focused on Paediatric Chiropractic care.
 

This hands-on workshop is open to 4th and 5th year students as well as early graduates.

 

Caring for kids is a normal part of practice life, in this Mentorship and Mastery session Drs Dorte Bladt, Julie Uren and Vanessa Barry will show attendees how to complete a pregnancy check and adjustment along with completing an older child assessment as part of a ‘family practice’.

 

This will be an interactive evening, ensuring that attendees will be able to apply theory into hands on practise.

    Dr Dorte Bladt
    Biography

    Dorte Bladt is a passionate advocate for vitalistic chiropractic care for children, running a thriving family practice in Newcastle, Australia. With 35 years of experience and a Master’s in Chiropractic Paediatrics, she also serves on the Australian Chiropractors Association (ACA) AICE Paediatrics Clinical Practice Committee.

    As the founder of Switched-on Kids, Dorte has been teaching chiropractors worldwide since 2006, equipping them with essential tools for assessing and adjusting children. She also leads the Practice Pro coaching program and is a sought-after international speaker.

    Dorte founded The Kids Summit in 2015, raising over $400,000 for paediatric chiropractic research. She is the author of Switched-on Kids – The Natural Way for Children to Be Their Best and received the ACA Outstanding Service Award in 2024 for her contributions to the profession.

    Dr Julie Uren
    Biography

    Julie is a chiropractor of 20 years. Prior to this she was a midwife of 20 years.

    She has a special interest in the chiropractic care of pregnant women and children with much of her postgraduate study in these areas.

    Julie's post grad training includes the diplomate of paediatric chiropractic and ICPA certification. Julie is a committee member on the ACA AICE paediatric committee and is a titled member. She is also co-organiser of 'The Kids Summit' raising funds for research into the chiropractic care of children.

    Dr Vanessa Barry
    Biography

    After graduating with her Master of Chiropractic from Macquarie University in 2006, Dr Vanessa Barry went on to pursue advanced education in the area of pregnancy and paediatric chiropractic care. She has received a post-graduate certificate in Chiropractic Paediatrics (CACCP) by the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and a post-graduate Diplomate of the Australian College of Chiropractic Paediatrics (DACCP).

    She is also certified in the Webster Technique and Myo Munchee (a myofunctional therapy tool), and has studied Babywearing with Die Trageschule®, an international network of babywearing consultants.

    Vanessa worked as an associate for a few years before opening her own practice Inborn Vitality which is located in Botany. Vanessa is passionate about helping patients of all ages optimise their health through natural chiropractic care.
