Join us for a ‘Connect and Learn’ evening with Physiotherapist Alexander Ring.
The topic for the evening will be Acute Dizziness and Vertigo: An Evidence-Based Approach to Acute Clinical Presentation.
Catch up with local colleagues, and meet ACA Regional Manager, Joanne Servaas.
This presentation will be based on the Guidelines for Reasonable and Appropriate Care in the Emergency Department 3 (GRACE-3): Acute Dizziness and Vertigo in the Emergency Department, with a focus on evidence-based assessment and diagnostic decision-making.
It will examine contemporary approaches to differentiating central vs peripheral causes of acute vestibular presentations, including timing and trigger frameworks, bedside oculomotor examination, gait assessment, and the selective role/limitations of imaging. The presentation will also incorporate case studies on BPPV and vestibular neuronitis to illustrate the application of guideline recommendations in clinically relevant scenarios.
It’s going to be a perfect evening of knowledge and networking.
Time: 6:30pm to 8:30pm
