We are now in our third week of Spinal Health Month! This week’s spotlight is on Women and Families, and the far-reaching impact back pain can have on daily life, mental wellbeing and family responsibilities.
New back pain impact data reveals that 87% of Australian women experienced back pain in the past year, highlighting just how widespread this issue has become.
Earlier this week, we launched our Women, Back Pain & Mental Health Spinal Health Month 2026 campaign video. Spread this video, and its important message, within your community by downloading it and sharing it on your social media pages.
To all our members taking part and spreading this year’s campaign’s message within their community, we greatly appreciate it.

This week marks National Reconciliation Week 2026 (27 May – 3 June). This year’s theme, All In, is a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every day. It reflects the understanding that meaningful reconciliation cannot be achieved from the sidelines; it requires action, participation and a shared commitment from all of us.
The ACA is proudly ‘All In’ and committed to advancing reconciliation. To learn more about how we are working towards this goal, read our latest news.
It’s National Volunteer Week – a time to recognise and celebrate the incredible volunteers who contribute to the ACA’s work. Whether you support student events, serve on committees or special interest groups, offer advice during consultations, or take part in public engagement activities, we sincerely appreciate your dedication and generosity.
The ACA is currently undertaking a review of the 2026-27 Budget papers and announcements handed down on Tuesday night as they become available. Furthermore, the Association will be attending relevant sector debriefs to assess the practical implications for chiropractors, practices, and patient access to care.
Member updates and advocacy insights will be provided as more information becomes available.

These add weight to the messaging and increase the likelihood of a story being picked up by the media. If you have a case study that we can utilise in this year’s campaign, please contact campaigns@chiropractors.org.au.
