Early dropout is one of the largest hidden obstacles to successful patient outcomes in chiropractic.
This session explores the psychological, communication, and structural factors that lead patients to disengage within the first few visits.
Nathan will unpack the subtle sources of uncertainty that undermine confidence and provide practical, evidence-aligned strategies for improving follow-through without pressure-based recommendations.
Dr Jody Shawn will cover:
An inspiring and affirming conversation sharing reflections, stories and clinical insights that have shaped her understanding of what chiropractic can truly be.
Through case studies and experience from 20 years in practice, this presentation invites us to stay curious about these cases— especially the ones that are often overlooked.
It’s going to be a perfect day of knowledge and networking.

- Biography
Dr Jody Shawn is originally from Winnipeg, Canada, and her chiropractic journey started when she was 13 years old. From her very first adjustment, I knew, "this is what I want to do with my life".
Now more than 20 years later, Jody is incredibly grateful to do work that she genuinely loves. She has travelled the world and lived in Canada, England, the United States, and now Australia. Exploring the globe has shaped the way she thinks about health, healing, and people.
Outside of practice, Jody is happiest on a dance floor, walking with her furry companions, sharing Sunday brunch with friends, or taking pub quizzes far more seriously than she should. Jody is really looking forward to sharing this time with you today.
