Mentorship & Mastery – Referral to Relationship: Building Better Connections with Medical Practitioners– Melbourne

As a student or recent graduate, you’re building more than your clinical skills, you’re also starting to build your professional network and your reputation within the broader healthcare community.

Knowing when to refer is an important part of practice. But knowing how to communicate your clinical reasoning clearly, write an effective referral and build trust with the medical practitioner receiving it can make all the difference.

Join Dr Deborah Lees, consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon and chiropractor, for a practical and insightful session exploring what makes a good referral and how you can develop stronger relationships with medical practitioners from the very beginning of your career.

With experience on both sides of the chiropractic–medical divide, Deb will share her perspective on what medical practitioners are looking for when they receive a referral, how to communicate clearly and professionally, and how a well-considered referral can become the starting point for ongoing collaboration.
