From November 1, the Aged Care Act 2024 will replace existing legislation, and the new Support at Home Program will officially launch. This new legislation aims to put older individuals at the centre of care, simplify access, strengthen regulation, and enhance workforce accountability.

In response to these changes, the ACA curated a Healthy Ageing Resources Centre for members, storing relevant resources and links that help you understand the new Aged Care legislation, systems, and processes in one location. Be advised that as the Aged Care Act rolls out and more resources become available, the Healthy Ageing Resources Centre will be updated. Moreover, these updates will be flagged in the ACA’s weekly eNews.
Additionally, the ACA has developed FAQs to support members with answers to common questions. This is housed within the member section of the ACA website and will be updated as further clarifications are made available.
